Services for September 2019

September 1 - Our final open discussion group of the summer season. Come join us for coffee and discussion of topics relevant to our lives.

September 8 - Ingathering/Water Communion and FIRST SUNDAY POTLUCK!
Today we celebrate the summer season and the experiences we had along the way. As part of our service we will have a time where members of the congregation can come forward and share about their summer events, and share some water from a destination they visited. Even if your only destination this summer was the kitchen, bring some water and join us. Also, this will be our first Sunday potluck day, so bring a dish to share and an appetite for food and conversation after the service.

September 15 - TBA

September 22 - Heaven, Hell, and Mystery - Rev. Art Severance of the UU Church of Amherst, NY
Rev. Severance addresses the book “The Proof of Heaven” and offers an alternative viewpoint about the reality of heaven and hell in a video sermon from 2015. Come join us.

September 29 - Our program this morning will take a look at the future of computing as envisioned by one of the pioneers in the field. We will hear a portion of a lecture by Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper recorded in 1985 about this history of computing and where she believes the field will go in the (then) future. Come join us for this video and a discussion of women in the tech field.
